BOUNTIFUL — A semitruck rollover has forced the closure of several northbound lanes on I-15 near Bountiful.

The crash happened shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday near the 500 South exit. Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cam Roden said the early belief was that the semitruck was going too fast around a curve, causing it to roll and lose a load of metal it was hauling.

Roden added that the three right lanes of northbound I-15 will be closed for “awhile” for cleanup; some traffic was getting through via the HOV lane.

No other vehicles were involved and there were no injuries, Roden said.
