MURRAY — A woman was trapped inside her vehicle Tuesday morning following a multivehicle crash at the intersection of 700 West and Winchester Street.

The six-car crash happened just before 11 a.m., shutting down all directions of travel while responders worked to clear the scene, said Murray Police Lt. Jake Huggard.

The woman who was trapped is possibly in her 60s, and firefighters were working to get her out. The woman’s medical condition was “not looking hopeful,” according to Huggard; no one else needed treatment.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, with police interviewing witnesses at the scene. Huggard says the area will be closed for a few hours.
