Plans for 2,300-plus homes, commercial space, and surf park in Washington advance 

WASHINGTON, Washington County — The Washington City Council has approved zoning changes and a proposed agreement for the Stucki Farms planned community development following several months of public discussion, deliberation and revisions.

According to the official Stucki Farms website and a previous article by St. George News, the master-planned community spans just under 600 acres. It includes approximately 140 acres of open space, 24 acres of lakes, 3.25 miles of walking paths and a variety of parks and recreational areas. Each of the villages within the community is designed to offer unique amenities and layouts.

Modifications to the plan, which have been in discussion since August 2022, were passed during the most recent City Council meeting on April 10, signaling a step forward for the large-scale project located in Washington, in Washington County.

Presented by city attorney Thad Seegmiller, the approved agreement introduces several changes to the existing development plan. This includes an increase in residential density, new vacation rental and commercial space and the creation of a hospitality land use designation covering approximately 46.1 acres. The updated plan also outlines water rights and proper usage on the site.
