Officers received a report of a disturbance outside a house near 7900 South and 6400 West around 3:45 a.m. Sunday. Upon arriving, officers located a man with a gunshot wound in the chest, West Jordan Police Sgt. Andrew Hercules said.

The man was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries, Hercules said. His identity has not been released.
