HEBER CITY — The northbound lanes of state Route 189 were closed outside Heber City Friday morning following a three-vehicle crash and opened shortly before 9 a.m.

Although no one was injured in the crash, the road was closed by Deer Creek Reservoir, at mile marker 22, until plows could get through and clear the lanes, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cam Roden.

The Utah Department of Transportation encouraged travelers at 8:12 a.m. to use an alternate route and expect “heavy delays” in the area. At 8:53 a.m. it said the road is open but told travelers to expect residual delays.
