LINDON — A search is underway for a missing man on Utah Lake after a jet ski flipped on Sunday, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said.

Two people were riding a WaveRunner on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. when it flipped, the sheriff’s office said. One person has been located.

Multiple crews are involved in the search, including a helicopter from the Utah Department of Public Safety.

“The search is happening near Vineyard beach. We launched from Lindon marina. Life Flight is there, DPS helicopter is on the way, and we have a fixed-wing plane there too,” Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Ormond said.

The missing person has been described by the sheriff’s office as a 23-year-old man.

“The male was last seen near the Lindon Marina while riding on a WaveRunner with his cousin,” the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said.
