TAYLORSVILLE — Police are investigating an incident that left one person dead and another injured early Saturday.

At about 2:31 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of 5000 South on Redwood Road, where they found a man who was severely injured. Life-saving measures were administered, but the man died at the scene, Taylorsville Police Lt. Aaron Cheshire said.

A woman at the scene was also injured and was taken to the hospital, Cheshire said.

No other information was immediately available.
